Hi Craig No, I was more talking at the TCP/IP socket level. We use this method extensively due to internal and external firewalls - filtering source and destination IP, inspecting packet type - sometimes using security tokens as well authenticating the Active Directory logons.
Of course these are dedicated firewalls, so a little easier to do it. I have seen this used with both BELogic and IIS based webservices.
