As long as you stick to something consistent, that pays attention to keyboard users (such as correct/intuitive tab-order) AND doesn't put the "Abandon all hope" actions near the "General use/save your stuff" actions you probably have 80-90% of a decent interface. It's the other 10-20% that takes a lot more attention.
