Hi Symeon: Unfortunately, the U2 market is very small when compared to all of the other databases. The U2 market is very frugal. That is why tools for U2 cost much more than they should because there is no volume. I have priced our XLr8 line of tools from $49.00 to $99.00 for volume sales.
According to Rocket Software, there are 2.7 million plus licenses under maintenance with over 35,000 shops. So there should be 10,000 or more programmers. However, I can tell you most have not heard of this list. Nor do most U2 programmers care about about full screen editors or the like which I find very sad indeed. So, I did look at a VS version of XLr8Editor in 2005 and told my staff not to pursue it. Maybe we would have sold more that the Eclipse version but who knows.
