Universe 10.3.4 on AIX. I have never used DataVu.

I just remember having trouble getting some of the "older", and I quote
"older" releases of the xml tools to work with PICK type dictionaries (ala
Universe 10.2). We came from an old PICK system some years back, and so we
have lots and lots of old A's and S's all over our system. I just convert
them as I need to really.

Again though, I have not used DataVu, or the xml tools since Rocket took
over. We finally gave up and wrote our own xml generator, because, at the
time I could not find accurate documentation on the xml stuff.

So, thats about all the experience I have.

I'm sure that Daniel knows better than I.

What does DataVu actually use to connect to Universe? The RPC daemon?
 ODBC? Some new thing?
