I know several older programmers who use ED exclusively. It's incredible how quickly they can jump into code and make complex changes with just a few keystrokes. In the course of the day I use ED, a few full-screen non-gui editors (jed/vi/maybe JET or SED sometimes) and some gui editors (WED, Cache Studo and sometimes Wordpad). Notably, the gui editors are mostly launched from an mv command line though
