I can't directly help you, but I might be able to redirect your search in the proper direction, based on my experience with similar devices.
Most likely, the fact that it communicates via BlueTooth is irrelevant. The device probably has a driver that makes it emulate a serial device. That is the case with many USB-connected devices such as scales, POS displays, etc. Hope that helps.
