Barry My suggestion is to set up a set a requester on the UV machine and a responder on the D3 machine. By this I mean you write the Basic routines that use say named pipes on one or other of the machines that allow for a request of one machine, a suitable background process could then respond to this request on the D3 machine etc. A little work but fun I dare say.
