Dear Colleague:
We are writing to solicit your support for an invited session we are planning to organize on the use of Bayesian Networks for information fusion for any applications in the 2002 Information Fusion conference to be held in July, 2002 at Annapolis, Maryland. More information on the conference may be found at http://www.fusion2002.org We would like to cordially invite you to submit an one page summary of your work to this session. All accepted submissions will be published in the conference proceedings as invited papers. Please send your submission electronically via email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] by Feb. 1, 2002. Please in your submission indicate your contact information and the innovative aspect of your work. Topics of particular interest include (not limited to): 1) Hierarchical knowledge representation using Bayesian Networks 2) Bayesian networks for modeling and fusion of dynamic information 3) the use of Bayesian networks for active information fusion 4) the use of Bayesian networks for high level information fusion under uncertainty for decision making, for situation understanding, for human behavior understanding, and for modeling and recognizing high level activities 5) the use of Bayesian network for prediction and forecasting Session Organizers: Prof. Qiang Ji Dept. of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Prof. Carl Looney Dept. of Computer Science Univ. of Nevada, Reno
