Hi, I am looking out for a good Bayesian network software/tool that shall enable me design and/or build an application based on Bayesian networks. In response of my earlier query in the group sometime back, some of you had suggested Netica and Hugin as good choices for reasearch purpose.
Could anyone suggest which of these two is better in terms of availability and ease of APIs. I would like to make it clear that I shall be using the inference engine of the software and write my own application-engine interface. I shall _not_ be using the GUI provided with the softwares for application development. Also, I would like to know the performance of the packages in terms of speed and number of supporting nodes. Are there any specific advantages or disadvantages that anybody has observed with the two packages? I would be much obliged if you could share your comments/thoughts on this. Also, if there is anybody in the group who has-used/is-using these, or any other similar package APIs for their development work, please let me know. Thanks, in advance. --Sudha -- Ms. Sudha Sivashanmugam Graduate Research Assistant (Intelligent Systems Group, PRISM) 319 Nichols Hall, ITTC University of Kansas, Lawrence.
