The algorithms group at MERL is seeking interns and visiting scientists
for R&D projects in network routing, scheduling, and resource
management. Application domains include ad-hoc wireless networks,
vehicular navigation, and exotic people-moving systems. Candidates
should have research experience and a strong background in a field
relevant to planning under uncertainty, such as optimization, machine
learning, operations research, approximation algorithms, or game theory.
Programming talent also required. Positions are available
immediately, summer, and fall. These typically run 3-6 months and
produce a software demo and a publication. Interested students and
post-docs are invited to contact Matt Brand (brand -AT- merl -DOT- com).
