Applications are invited for a
MACHINE LEARNING RESEARCHER
D-Wave Systems Inc. is seeking a machine learning researcher to develop
and prototype
supervised learning algorithms for image recognition and other problems.
The successful
candidate will develop algorithms leveraging a new high performance
superconducting
processor technology. The work will be carried out in collaboration with
the machine vision
group at Google.
Required Qualifications:
* A Ph.D. in machine learning or equivalent experience
* Experience in optimization methods for both continuous and discrete
problems
* Experience prototyping algorithms in C/C++, Matlab, Java, etc
* Up-to-date understanding of the latest machine learning approaches
* Strong mathematical foundations
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with each of the following:
- supervised and semi-supervised learning
- machine vision algorithms
* Experience solving real-world problems is highly desired
* Familiarity with Monte-Carlo methods
