Hi everyone! The new version of Ubiquity requires that command authors update their commands to use the new command API. So far 10 of the top 25 commands (as pulled from the Herd) have been updated to work with Parser 2!
If you are a command developer, we've put together several resources to help you update your commands: The Official Command Update Tutorial! https://wiki.mozilla.org/Labs/Ubiquity/Parser_2_API_Conversion_Tutorial Mitcho's blog post, with Fancy Video! http://mitcho.com/blog/projects/converting-your-ubiquity-command-to-ubiquity-0-5/ Also, helpful and awesome people hang out in the #ubiquity channel on irc.mozilla.org. I am heatherpedia on there, so feel free to ping me and I can help you find an answer to questions you might have. If you're a passionate user of third party commands, I encourage you to contact the command author (their email might be listed if you go to the command list) and tell them you like their command and would like them to update it to work with Parser 2. As it turns out, lots of people don't even know their commands are popular, so fanmail will help get your favorite commands updated. Finally, if you have any questions, comments, or thoughts on commands, updating, or how we can help make life easier for Ubiquity users and command developers, feel free to send me an email or find me on IRC. I'm friendly! Heather --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ubiquity-firefox" group.
