The issue in the other bug is not this issue. The problem in the slideshow is that there are scrollbars in the slideshow because the text is simply too long, because of translations.
If you want to reproduce this problem, just install Ubuntu 12.x on a 1366x786 screen. Should be reproducable. I can't attach a screenshot because there were error with the live system that couldn't connect to the usb stick. 2012/11/28 Adolfo Jayme Barrientos <[email protected]> > Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I choose the German language. In the slideshow there are scrollbars. I can't attach a screenshot because for me it was not possible to move them on a usb stick. The problem is that you can fix this bug if you simply for example shorten the translated text. But this idea is not good. Then every translation in other languages must be also shortened perhaps,. I personally think and there the installer should be bigger and then there would be enough place. I use a laptop with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768. I'm quite sure that this can happen with other languages. I don't know what is possible, but this wouldn't happen if the installer window would be bigger like in openSUSE or in Fedora. This seems to be possible. If you need more information I'll give you that, but I can't give you screenshots. I'm sorry.
