Hi Faisal, Many thanks for your well thought out response.
Totally agreed on all of the factors / design points you highlight. I've done a lot of very similar designs to what you describe: 24V, DIN rail boxes, Mikrotik750UP, etc. High temp, high dust resistance definitely a given...which makes the fan on the edgeSwitch a negative. In this case, the high chance of integration / colocation at telco towers drives the need for 48VDC input rather than 24VDC. Many of the desktop sites will run on generators already in place at the sites, driving the AC requirement. For simplicity, I'm very much liking the Digital Loggers AC PDU + original product AC PoE injectors. This gives versatility across passive 24, passive 48, 802.3af 48, and AirFiber PoE all at the same site. Would love to hear more about your time deploying solutions in Sudan. I spent this past summer guiding deployment of a wireless ISP in Gulu in Northern Uganda - perhaps you know the place? Feel free to contact me off list if you want to get in touch. Thanks!
