I like the new style... just not the users of it.

I quit the UBNT forums when they changed the portal/format 3? maybe 4 year ago.

It just became too hard to use...

Sometimes change for the sake of change is a mistake.

I actually dropped the forum for the mailing list. I think the forums used to

everyone finding out about ubnt there is just alot more.... less informed
people on the forums.

Yep, those guys can be really annoying. I think in general, we just have a lot
more informed and helpful group of people on the mailing lists.

I know there is overlap between here and the forum, but the annoying people
don't come here, for the most part...

No. Many newbs come looking for help. These are the guys that hang out in the
corner with 786k posts from mutual circle jerks telling you your great ideas
are stupid until UBNT starts doing them... then they're awesome.

Is that not the definition of noobs?

Too many want to make you suck on the end of a 12 gauge.

It's not even the noobs that bother me, it's the elitists that don't know their
ass from a hole in the ground.

Except that the community grass roots camaraderie is what helped build
Ubiquiti. There is a lot of information there and a lot of people willing to
help.

Ubnt kindly asks to keep discussion on the cesspool of noobs that is the public
forum.

Thank you.

I've had to move to channel filters on 24GHz to keep it workable.

I'd love to see Air Beam in 2.4GHz as well. That with AirPrizm could restore
2.4GHz to usability for others...

Yes, this is also something we are looking to offer in 2.4ghz. Similar to what
we have in UAP-Outdoor+.

Thanks,

Since you are talking, how about AirPrizm for 2.4GHz?

There are definitely more limitations with 2.4GHz...but there are some
performance benefits you can get out of it still...

The R5AC-Lite (previously R5AC-PTP-Lite) will also support PTMP with software
update. There will then be additional hardware that will have airPrism built
in.

Will provide an update in next few days as to release timeframe.

Thanks,
