Any ideas folks?

I wish you luck with the USG for collecting traffic stats. When I used it last, I had an issue with it corrupting https packets and a bunch of other weird data integrity issues, even with DPI turned off. Maybe that's fixed now.

Nathan,

The unifi server is on a private IP and then 1:1 thru a firewall. The USG was deployed on a tour site with a public IP on the same /19 (different /24) as the public IP of the unif server.

The USG acted as a DHCP server/Firewall/Traffic Inspector for a cities public 'free' wireless.

They wanted monthly statistics for what the wireless is being used for. And the USG was perfect for this. I just kept having to drive to the tower site to reset it. Drove me mad so we bought another one.

Same problem happened the next day. None of our other Unifi devices are problematic.

Kurt,

Unfortunately I haven't been luck with this and am unwilling to buy a third with the confidence level I have currently.

Riley,

I don't need the USG for just a router. I have much more powerful products for that.

I only need it for the graphing and summaries of user traffic. Looking for a product that makes it simple the way it has been on the USG the small amount of time it worked.

I love the USG for what it offers as far as visibility on user
    traffic.

However, we have bought 2 and both could not keep their config
for more than a few days after we put it up.

We constantly were driving almost an hour out to reset it and
it was driving us and our customers crazy.

Anyone found a comparable product that is more stable/reliable?

I suppose it wouldn't have to be ubiquiti.
