Hi - I was wondering whether anyone here might know about what voice recognition software is currently available for Linux. I'm asking because my dad has both physical impairments and dyslexia - and the only thing that's stopping him from being able to use Linux is lack of voice recognition software for it.
Due to this, my dad isn't really part of any of the Linux 'communities' yet - and the reason I subscribed to this mailing list was so that I could keep an ear to the ground, in case anything came up. But so far, there was really only a short thread about virtual machines and text injection. He does have a website however, and has started a kind of discussion thread on that - which is available through this link http://www.hi2u.org/discussions/voice4linux.htm If anyone has had any experience with voice recognition software under Linux or knows of any information about it - could you please post something about it on my dad's discussion page about it - or, if not - just reply to this telling me so I can do it. Thanks so much for reading this post - I'm hoping that some of you people might know something that may help my dad to be able to use Linux at some point. Chris Hayes
