This week, I installed/updated the Karmic Koala (Ubuntu 9.10) in a VirtualBox on my OpenSolaris machine. Here's what I've found, and I think Luke Yelavich deserves a pat on the back:
* Audio integration is working much better. I'm not noticing any speech dropouts. The interaction with spoken keypresses and object events in Orca, however, is weird --- speech is not being interrupted quickly. This is one of my first real attempts at working with speech dispatcher, though, so it might be a speech dispatcher thing. * The logout dialog is spoken with Orca. * The screen saver password is spoken with Orca. All in all, it's looking much much better. Thanks Luke!
