Planet Ubuntu (http://planet.ubuntu.com/) could use an update to the new look. Maybe you could work on some of the LoCo sites. Being part of the Tennessee LoCo, I would point you to our website (http://ubuntu-tennessee.org/) which could use some design work. But I'm sure there are many other LoCos which would be happy to have a website facelift.
