hey guys I know this does'nt relate specifically to ubuntu
I'm trying to set up gmail through thunderbird using imap I set up the connection as gmail told me to <http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77662&topic=12814> the connection just times out. I rang bigpond cable tech support to see if they were blocking port 993, they told that a) they don't support gmail and b) they don't know what ports they block. anyone know if they block port 993? peter -- www.peterbaker.id.au
