I followed the instructions and restarted evolution.. In the bottom bar of the screen it says writing "State.ini" Does this give any clue ? The program sits there with this message and nothing else happens. Let's start by scrapping the old stuff (the files in ~/.evolution) and seeing what happens (don't worry, we'll keep a back up of them til we work it out). So, from the terminal: mkdir ~/evobackup mv ~/.evolution ~/evobackup Start evolution again and see what happens.. If it starts, check to see if all your expected data is there.. If it's not.
