Ok so I'm so exciting I spent new year's eve configuring the laptop. It's now a lamp server with dhcp and bind. I've told bind to steal archive.ubuntu.com and point it at the laptop where I can mount the USB drive and tah dah, it should work without having to tweak any new installs anywhere.
In all the fiddling last night ( thought it would be good to resize and move the partition I had on the USB drive but didn't count on tripping over the usb cable and unplugging it mid move) I've somehow blown apart the partitioning on the USB drive to the point I'm going to format and redownload the repository. Should only take a day or two fingers crossed. So is there anything else I'm missing that might be useful on the day to set up? -- Regards, Jared Norris JP(Qual) BBehSc(Psych) https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JaredNorris -- ubuntu-au mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
