Hi all, Some of you might know me of the Captorials/ScreenKast project.
In short: ScreenKast is a (KDE-based) client that captures your screen, offering the possibility to add commentboxes (so no audio) and do some (very basic) editing/exporting. Captorials is a webservice/website that accepts recordings from ScreenKast, processes them and makes them available on the website for anyone to consultate. The idea is/was to create a visual helpdesk, created by Linux-enthousiasts around the world. In the past, I lost my interest for various reasons, but the main ones were financial ones. Now that I have a relative steady income and a tiny of my time to spare, I'd like to give the project a new start (partly because of interest from the community). However, I'm looking for someone who wants to sponsor the hosting for the captorials webservice/website. If hardware is an issue, I've two Dell Poweredge servers laying here, which I'm willing to 'donate' to the project, assuming someone can help me out with the rackspace and uplink. The uplink should be sufficient for a video-oriented website. I don't have any details on this, but I guess 5Mbit/s is a minimum requirement. Hope to hear from someone. bram -- ubuntu-be mailing list / mailto:[email protected] You can find list info and your subscription configuration options at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-be
