Fala eduMadma, blz?

Demorei mas to respondendo agora. Primeiramente afirmo que não tenho nada
configurado na minha BIOS, como descrito nesta thread. Segundo passo uma
lista de links que utilizei de referência até conseguir configurar o beryl.
Por fim, colei o conteúdo do meu "xor.conf" logo abaixo para vc dar uma
comparada com o seu. Mas vamos lá o passo a passo que me recordo ter feito:
Baixei o driver do site da ati, instalei-o, instalei o xgl, instalei beryl
mais o tema (emerald acho), configurei um item de menu para o gdm, fechei a
sessão, escolhi o gerenciador de janelas como XGL (item que tinha
adicionado), terminal + beryl-manager ... e pimba.

Enfim é isso, acho que tudo isso pode lhe ajudar a conseguir alcançar o seu
objetivo, porém da muito galho, não sei dizer se é o suporte ruim para o
driver ati, ou é o beryl mesmo, esse problema que vc sitou sobre fechar a
sessão, as vezes dá comigo, e por tal motivo, não pretendo botar o beryl
novamente, não para driver ati ... nvidia, quem sabe?!
