I can confirm this issue.
In debian/rules:
# remove first 14 lines of upstream menu entry (title, browser,
thunar,terminal, separators) and help entry
for i in $(CURDIR)/debian/tmp/etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml*; do sed
-i -n '/\t<title name/,+13! p' $$i ;done
This breaks horribly if the menu.xml.<locale> file doesn't contain the
same spacing as the menu.xml file.
