I downloaded the kubuntu 8.10 alpha 5 install image. The machine boots
nicely into the install menu, but from then on, now matter which option
one selects, the installer boots into a busybox shell giving a
(initramfs) prompt. When one exits from that shell, the machine
sometimes reboots, sometimes it gives kernel panic.
