Not really, but I think this would be more sensible than the jdk -> libmdns dep; the jdks have absolutely nothing to do with mdns whatsoever, they just use libc's resolver like any other app.
The only difference will all other packages using libc's resolver is that they are more likely to be used as 32-bits apps under 64-bits. Ideally, we would express something like "libmdns depends on lib32mdns if you have ia32-libs".
