I have motherboard with an integrated Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller and Ubuntu server
8.0.4.1.

I was having problems with uShare (an uPnP A/V media server) because it
isn't receiving multicast packets. I installed the 2.6.27 kernel (server
version) from intrepid and it is worlking well right now.

Nevertheless, I noticed before the kernel update that the interface was
showing a lot of dropped packets, and now it is the same, but all the
network service seems to be working Ok, and the dropped count increases
continuously (and heavily) eveng without too much network traffic (only
an ssh session).

Some ideas about that?
