Hi Chris, Thank you for your prompt reply. According to /usr/share/applications/gnome-system-log.desktop it is gnome-utils-2.0:
X-GNOME-DocPath=gnome-system-log/gnome-system-log.xml X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Bugzilla=GNOME X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Product=gnome-utils X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Component=logview X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Version=2.20.0.1 X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gnome-utils-2.0 gnome-system-log is capable of opening log files and persisting list of files opened during last session. What I am reporting is change in behavior - opens 4 instead of 8 log files. I do not know where is corresponding conf file which it should use and which files should it open - can check on different box which got 8 logs it should monitor (default behavior). Do not know when or why it changed behavior. I will gladly help by means of examining source code and figuring out how is the app configured and where it logging (if anything) soon as I find time for it. How important it is? Most of users are capable of opening desired logs using gnome-system-log or text editor. So from that side very low. Apps changing behavior during the time without users knowledge or request - I am coder and I see that as very big problem. Since problem is difficult (impossible) to replicate I would wait for more people to report it before I would assign it to anybody.
