*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 199592 ***

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: scim-bridge

Using Ubuntu 8.10 Alpha 6 updated Sep 29th

Crash seems to happen when KDE4 shows the desktop and windows from the
previous session are being restored. So far only seems to happen when a
window is minimised during this process - after everything loads, this
  crash does not occur.

  command-line + results:
  $ lsb_release -rd
  Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
  Release: 8.10

   apt-cache policy scim
  scim:
    Installed: 1.4.7-3ubuntu10
    Candidate: 1.4.7-3ubuntu10
    Version table:
   *** 1.4.7-3ubuntu10 0
          500 http://nz.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  Hope this helps,

+ PS: this could well be another example of bug 199592 - so I have marked
+ it as a duplicate - I am not sure whether this means that my crash data
+ gets attached to bug 199592.
+
+ PPS: This is a test PC with no confidential information whatsoever on
+ it, so I am happy for it not to be private if that will help.
