Can you attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old from
after attempting to boot with the -ati driver specified in xorg.conf?
Also, please attach `lspci -vvnn`; the default lspci output doesn't
include al lthe pci id numbers we need.
Another thing to try is disabling compiz; sometimes X boots up properly
without it.
