I believe I am using gnome terminal. On Ubuntu Hardy, System -> Preferences -> Main Menu Under system tools I enabled the 'Root Terminal' Then Under Applications -> System Tools I click Root Terminal. Then I issue the command: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]: /home/me# sudo su' the prompt changes to: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]: /home/me# [EMAIL PROTECTED]: /home/me#' this is where when I press 'e' (actually I wanted to type 'exit') that the terminal closes by itself.
I am a newbie so if you need some system info please tell me how to obtain them. Thanks for the quick response although over-all my ubuntu system is usable so it is really not a big issue. I just want to help in my own little way. On Tue, 2008-09-30 at 11:36 +0000, Rich Wareham wrote: > Thanks for reporting this bug.
