Bug #179110 talks about auto playback at rhythmbox start, I don't think that is the same as this bug?
Anyhow, thanks for the hint, as I have been able to find out more about the problem. It seems that trying to play a file (through command-line options) which does not reside in my library results in (a) nothing, or (b) playback of the currently selected album in the "Music" tab. The same test with a file listed in my library, results in correct playback. So it depends whether the file I want to play, is already in my library, or not. As I mostly double-click on new files, this bug gets triggered quite frequently. -- Rhythmbox fails at starting playback on doubleclick / argument passing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/270523 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
