Hi Dov-El,
It's interesting that you mention after having ran the update, that
booting with the older 2.6.27-3 kernel you are still unable to
suspend/hibernate when prior to the update the 2.6.27-3 kernel was fine.
I wonder if something other than the kernel might be causing issues.
Can you boot the 2.6.27-4 kernel and try running '/etc/acpi/sleep.sh
force' or '/etc/acpi/hibernate.sh' from a tty. For example:
Ctrl+Alt+F1
<you may need to login>
/etc/acpi/sleep.sh force
Does the machine still fail to suspend or hibernate? If it fails, then
I can try to work with you to perform a git bisect to narrow down which
caused the regression. However, if this does indeed work I suspect one
of the upper layers is interfering. Thanks.
