I know, but since my BIOS - and many others - doesn't have this option.
This option comes with newer motherboards as a workaround for floppyless
windows install.

Your solution might be a workaround but I still think this is a bug. I'm
using same machine with ubuntu for more than 2 years and all kernels
before *-5 worked fine.
