Rationale: nvidia-settings doesn't have to be launched as root as it
saves the user's settings to ~/.nvidia-settings-rc (so as to have per
user settings). What we could do is make it use PolicyKit to ask the
password only when the xorg.conf must be modified.

I'm marking this as a wishlist report.
