ok, manzur, here's what you should do:
start ubuntu without the splash screen and tell us if you see any error
messages.
the way to start without splash is -at the grub menu- press "e", then go
to the line starting with "kernel" and press "e" again. go to the end of
this line, and remove the words "quiet" and "splash"
