actually no, that's a lie. the behaviour i described was observed only
under XP SP2 with drivers from realtek versions 1313 and previous. under
kubuntu 8.10/8.04 it has *similar* (bad) functionality both with the
linux driver and the ndiswrapper-ed driver.
