Try the following: Redirect your print queue to a file:
cupsctl FileDevice=yes lpadmin -p <print queue name> -v file:/tmp/printout.ps Then print a file which causes the problem and attach the resulting /tmp/printout.ps to this bug report. Switch to the other PPD file but keep your print queue pointing to /tmp/printout.ps. Print the same file again, and attach the new /tmp/printout.ps. They must be different, as one works on the printer, the other not.
