Hi Björn, this does not seem like a bug in Ubuntu/Kubuntu.

Remember that your BIOS, GRUB and Linux actually have different ways to
identify your disks, so what might be hd0 in your BIOS may not
necessarily be hda in Linux (these days it would be sda, sdb, etc
anyway). In Ubuntu, your disks are now identified by UUID's, since this
is currently the most reliable way of finding and mounting them. If you
require any further information, please check the Ubuntu wiki, or feel
free to ask for more details.
