Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic

After upgrading an HP DL380G5 from hardy to intrepid, I noticed that the
/sys/block/cciss!c0d0/device does not exist and lshal doesn't report
cciss devices as block devices:

--- intrepid ---
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -al '/sys/block/cciss!c0d0/' |grep -i device
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a
Linux ian 2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Tue Oct 14 18:38:59 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lshal |grep -i cciss
  info.linux.driver = 'cciss'  (string)
--- intrepid ---

--- hardy ---
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a
Linux ian 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Aug 20 17:53:40 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -al '/sys/block/cciss!c0d0/' |grep -i device
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root    0 2008-10-15 13:35 device ->
../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:03.0/0000:06:00.0
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lshal |grep -i cciss
  info.linux.driver = 'cciss'  (string)
  block.device = '/dev/cciss/c0d0'  (string)
  linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/block/cciss!c0d0'  (string)
  block.device = '/dev/cciss/c0d0p2'  (string)
  linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/block/cciss!c0d0/cciss!c0d0p2'  (string)
  block.device = '/dev/cciss/c0d0p1'  (string)
  linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/block/cciss!c0d0/cciss!c0d0p1'  (string)
--- hardy ---
