I agree with Martin's assessment in https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- panel/+bug/283278/comments/5. The final release freeze is not a good time to experiment with this.
The fact that there is more than one way to exit the session is not new: the panel has had two ways to do this (logout button and System menu) since 6.06, not to mention the keyboard shortcuts and hardware power button. This is unrelated to the exchange of the new fusa applet for the logout button, and is not a regression (usability or otherwise). There are valid questions about how best to solve this, but we cannot address them properly in the time we have available. I recommend postponing any further changes to the panel until after the 8.10 release. -- When FUSA applet has shutdown/logout items are duplicated in "System" menu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
