I've tested it on Intrepid, using the live CD and upgrading the system with the latest updates.
I couldn't find the system-bell-blur config this time so I tried reproducing it using blur window and motion blur instead. I tried reproducing twice. First it bugged out right away, second time I had too fiddle a while for it to happen. Motion blur does not pose too much problem, but window blur, when it kicks in, is much worse than before. All changes in graphics lead to black areas with a few bright pixels in them. Restarting X (the hard way) does not disable the configuration and I can't figure out how to disable it afterwards since the graphical interface is rendered unusable. Beware of wrecked systems here!!! ** Attachment added: "lspci-vvnn" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18701470/lspci-vvnn -- [compiz] System bell causes blur to lose acceleration https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158453 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
