is this still a problem with the latest ffox 3? also try a build from mozilla.com to verify that this is not ubuntu specific.
If its not ubuntu specific, this is best dealt upstream as its not a ubuntu specific issue. first, verify that this is not caused by some extensions (disable all in tools -> addons and restart).
