I'm using non-legacy ssl on 5222 without issue as well. This page suggests 5222/non-legacy for connecting to Google Talk using Trillian:
http://www.google.com/support/talk/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=24077 Unfortunately not all of the 'how to connect client X' pages agree on what's right. It seems that older pages suggest 5223/legacy, and the pidgin one in particular says that non-legacy SSL "doesn't work", which is clearly false. So I'd say Google has updated things and now supports 5222/non-legacy SSL connections. -- gtalk should be preset to use SSL on 5222 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257382 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
