I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 (Beta + updates). The USB-audio does not seem
to work at all. When I try to test the audio (from gnome) I get the
following error message: audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert
! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink:.
Then the message continues with a finnish message which translates as
"Could not open a device for playback".
