I took a look, and I've actually scavenged that box for parts; it's not in any condition to run anything right now. I can install the 8.10 Release Candidate on a different box with an NVidia card. It's not the same card, but it suffered from the same problem: When I installed 8.04 on it, the S-Video out stopped functioning.
It's currently running 7.10 (the S-Video out works great with that release).
