I agree with the above two posters. Closing this bug because of "lack of
comments from the original poster" is just wrong. I am using the Ibex
beta LiveCD and STILL am having problems with this bug. Intel is the
ONLY gpu manufacturer in the WORLD with a 100% open source driver and
YET I still have soooooo many problems with intel gpu's under Ubuntu it
makes me sick to my stomach. I am experiencing a black screen with Ibex
with a "VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller". Why is this? Why can this bug not be
fixed? As I already stated, Intel is the only vendor with a 100% open
source driver yet I am STILL unable to get this chipset to work
correctly under Ubuntu.

What info do you need to fix this bug? I am willing to do whatever it
takes to ensure that Ubuntu has a correctly working GM965 device driver.
Tell me what to do or what info you need me to give you in order to help
with this. An Intel GPU should work OUT-OF-THE-BOX on EVERY SINGLE LINUX
DISTRO IN EXISTENCE. It doesn't work with Ubuntu, no matter what I try.
I'm a community member who is willing to work with Ubuntu to solve this
problem. Help me to help you. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
