I still see this bug in intrepid or a similar one: Static dual head xorg.conf, intel driver, intrepid with all of today's updates.
The main differece is that I don't have to load an application or do anything at all for the "black out" to appear. The external monitor goes black for a second and at the same time (II) intel(0): Printing DDC gathered Modelines: appears in my Xorg.0.log. Video playback on the other screen stutters at the same time.
