I haven't tried the new intrepid, I have xp installed now but the issue still occurs (with XP). It is the hardest bug I've had to troubleshoot because it is completely random. It can work for weeks and then it gets into a boot fit. Then it slowly returns to normal. I have new ram and new video card...so I am guessing the problem is PSU or CPU or MB or HD. I do have an integrated Intel Ethernet adapter, but it is displayed as Intel(R) Pro/1000 PL in XP and when the computer boots internet is fine.
